Update and Configure Wireless Headsets

Update firmware and configure settings on your Sonetics wireless headsets. This includes enabling, adjusting and disabling features like listen-through awareness and microphone sensitivity.

Update Firmware

1. Locate the USB-to-Mini USB cable included with your headset.
2. Take off the inner ear seal from the left dome of the Sonetics headset.
3. Remove the foam cover from the inside of the dome.
4. Lift up the rubber door inside the dome to access the mini USB connector.
5. Plug in your USB.
6. Turn on your device.
   1. Headsets: Hold down POWER button near the top of the right ear dome for half a second.
   1. Base stations: Will turn on automatically once you plug in the USB.
7. Click on the “Find Device” button in the bottom left of the Sonetics Configuration Utility software menu.
8. Proceed with any Firmware updates, if available, by selecting the yellow “Update Firmware” button and following the prompts.
   
   Note: If your Firmware is out of date, there will be a red box next to the Application field.
9. The update is complete once the green bar is full and the Programming Status shows “You may remove device”.
   
   Note: The red box in the Application field should be gone.
10. Select the “Customize Device” button on the left side of the Configuration Utility menu.
11. Refer to your manual regarding the features listed and select your preferred settings.
12. Once you have selected your preferences, click on the yellow “Write Menus” button to save the selections.

Saving Cloned Settings to A New Device

1. To clone the settings to save for other devices, go to the “File” dropdown and select “Save Menu File As” and save the file to your computer.
2. When you plug in another headset, you can go to the “File” dropdown and select “Load Menu File” and find the cloned settings file that you saved to your computer.
3. Click on the yellow “Write Menus” button to write the cloned settings to the new device.

Return to Factory Settings

1. Open up the Sonetics Configuration Utility software.
2. Select the “Customize Device” button on the left side of the Configuration Utility menu.
3. Click on the “Menu Defaults” button on the right side of the window.
4. Click on the yellow “Write Menus” button to save the selections.

Viewing Settings on a Device

1. Open up the Sonetics Configuration Utility software.
2. Select the “Customize Device” button on the left side of the Configuration Utility menu.
3. Click on the blue “Read Menus” button and the settings will display below.
